Dr. Sean Carey
Dr. Sean Carey is the owner of Precision Chiropractic, which has been serving the Greater Newburyport Area for 8 years! Dr. Sean was born in Newburyport, and currently lives in Rowley.
After graduating from Triton High School, Dr. Sean attended the University of Maine where he studied nutrition and exercise physiology.
Dr. Sean tells us: “I was young, in great shape, and had a great diet; but I was always in pain. I was routinely taking Aleve and other NSAID’s for neck pain and shoulder pain that still lingered from old sports injuries.
I met a chiropractor who explained how my entire body was controlled by my brain and central nervous system. When your spine has shifted out of alignment, it interferes with the brain’s ability to send and receive messages; and can affect your body’s innate ability to heal.
His explanation made a great deal of sense to me, so I began care. I started feeling better, sleeping better, moving better, and even thinking better. The best way to describe my experience is to say that I came out of a fog that I hadn’t even realized I was in.”
After discovering firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care, he moved to Dallas to attend Parker University. While receiving his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, he also took hundreds of hours of post-graduate courses in Functional Neurology through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies.
As a child, Dr. Sean watched as his mother recovered from a large brain tumor; and also watched his father suffer with debilitating migraine headaches as the result of a car accident. He has always been fascinated by the brain and how it works, and has devoted countless hours to studying the intricacies of the body so that they can better serve not only you, but his only family as well.
Dr. Sean Riley
Currently residing in Ipswich, Dr. Sean Riley originally hails from the Seattle, WA area where he spent most of his life. It was in the Seattle area that Dr. Riley was first exposed to chiropractic, at age 30.
After a devastating lower back injury, Dr. Riley went to a chiropractor who took x-rays, explained how the structure of his pelvis and spine was directly related to his problem. He received corrective care, and not only did his back pain go away, his allergies disappeared, he started sleeping better and even went off of antidepressant and anxiety medication!
Dr. Riley was so excited about his amazing results with chiropractic he ended up working at the office he was receiving care from. He assisted the chiropractors there in educating the patients about the importance of a clear and healthy nervous system – through finding and correcting misalignments in the spine!
“It became abundantly clear to me that I needed to take this path to the next level – and when I turned 33, I entered into chiropractic school – I wanted to make the biggest impact I could for human health. I knew that for me, that was through becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic.”
Graduating Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA, Dr. Riley found himself most passionate about assisting those that desire to continue their health development journey – moving through injury and pain – moving toward states of wellness and vitality we were all born to experience. In other words, we were born to thrive!
