What to Expect

Full Service Chiropractic Care, Step by Step:

  1. Consultation At your first visit, you will be greeted at the Front Desk, and then Dr. Sean will bring you to his office for the examination. The examination is about a 30 minute process. The first step is a thorough history and consultation, where Dr. Sean will review your health history, reasons for seeking care, and health goals.

  2. Hands-On Examination This consists of the patient lying down on a chiropractic table, fully clothed. Dr. Sean will examine the body for any structural imbalances or misalignments. He will also examine for any areas of inflammation and decreased motion.

  3. Balance assessment. Here we have the patient stand on scales side-by-side, to make sure that their weight is evenly distributed throughout the body.

  4. Thermal Scan After the balance assessment, patients will change into a gown so that a thermal scan can be performed. This involves Dr. Sean using a special instrument to analyze heat patterns along the spine. This helps us determine where there is inflammation (irritation).

  5. X-rays After the thermal scan, Dr. Sean will take digital x-rays of any areas that are needed, which will then be sent off to a radiologist. This is all included in the initial appointment cost.

  6. Recommendation for care After Dr. Sean has had a chance to review your x-rays, he will sit down with you, go over the findings and give recommendations for your care. Each case is very unique, so your care is based on your specific needs. Dr. Sean incorporates a variety of different techniques into his care based on the needs of each patient. This could include upper cervical care, hand-on adjustments, instrument care, or table drop adjustments.

Meet Dr. Sean Carey

The first time I met Dr. Carey, I was having a lot of back pain. I was also having trouble taking deep breaths. When I inhaled, I couldn’t get a full breath, and it was really painful on the right side of my back. Within the first 5 minutes of my adjustment, he found that I had two ribs out of place. I’m happy to say that within the next few visits, he had gotten my ribs back in place. It’s been close to a year now, and next week I’m running my first Spartan Race! I feel that if I hadn’t seen Dr. Carey when I did, I’d still be laying around the house in pain, rather than running and training for next week. I owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Carey!
