How to Raise Healthy Kids in an Unhealthy World!

On Saturday, February 1st at 4 P.M. I will be giving a complimentary talk to the community about how to raise healthy kids in a very unhealthy world. This talk is especially relevant to mothers, teachers, and anyone who is planning on becoming a mother within the next 3 years.Today’s generation of children are facing unprecedented challenges. 1 in 56 children now has autism, as opposed to 1 in 10,000 in 1987. The use of psychiatric medication by children has risen by approximately 800% in the past 17 years. Children have more challenged immune systems than ever before (as we can see in things like the massive increase in peanut allergies). This is also a time when the Center for Disease Control have admitted that the era of antibiotics is over, and we have emerging superbugs that are completely invulnerable to the medications we have. Globalization, increasingly complex social structures, and technology are also creating major challenges for today’s children. We are going to talk about the things that YOU can do to not only protect your children, but allow them to thrive. I will be breaking down the most critical information that I have learned from many different fields (including neuroscience, epigenetics, nutrition, sociology, psychology, and exercise science) and putting together a road map of what you can do to apply that information.Part of the talk will include a special section on what you can do PRIOR to becoming pregnant to optimize your child’s development. We will also talk about the critical errors that most parents make that are harming their child’s development, and we will focus a great deal on the science of learning.I have invested a tremendous amount of time, energy, and money; into better understanding HOW we learn, and how we can learn more efficiently. This is a topic that we are going to cover in detail, and you will walk away with many practical tools that can be used to help the children in your lives. We do have limited seating, so please call 978-462-2971 to reserve your seat.Yours in Health,Dr. Sean CareyNewburyport, MA
