Maleigha’s Story

This is why I wake up every morning! Please take a moment to read Maleigha’s story.You may have seen a beautiful 10 year-old girl in the office in the past few months. Maleigha first came into the office this summer. Not only was she developing scoliosis, she was also suffering with very serious learning problems in school that were causing her and her parents a great amount of distress.In fact, Maleigha’s teachers told her mother that they were going to have to pull Maleigha out of St. John the Evangelist’s school, because she was special needs and the school could not provide her with the support that she needed.When Maleigha’s mother brought her into the office, she brought in a 16 page report that was created by a variety of specialists; describing in detail the delays that she was struggling with in reading, comprehension, and math. The testing and reports were extremely comprehensive, and the problems were clear. However, they did not recommend any suitable solutions to help Maleigha.We started specific, gentle adjustments with Maleigha, and made two changes to her lifestyle (adding in a high-quality fish-oil supplement, and minimizing Ipad time to 30 minutes per day). Within a few months, Maleigha received her next report card. She was getting all A’s, with the exception of one B. This is at the exact same school that told her she was a special needs student only months earlier. In addition, her scoliosis has completely cleared up!Now, Maleigha continues to receive check-ups on a weekly basis for the simple reason that she feels better, functions better, and can focus more clearly when her nervous system is clear of obstructions.Be sure to congratulate her on her amazing work next time you see her in the office!Dr. Sean
